ABOUT HOLDEN
Holden Childress is a 23 year-old actor and singer from Cross Timbers, Missouri.
Holden has been acting on stages since he was 12 years old, when he played the role of Winthrop in a high school production of Meredith Wilson's The Music Man. Since then, Holden has continued to pursue acting, receiving recognition at both regional and national levels for his roles in productions at both State Fair Community College and University of Central Missouri.
In addition to acting, Holden has also worked behind the scenes on several productions at SFCC and UCM. This includes creating promotional videos for productions, as well as serving as a dramaturg for SFCC's production of BE MORE CHILL, for which he received a Commendation for Excellence in Dramaturgy at the Region 5 Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival in 2020. Holden also worked as a student producer for KMOS-TV, an Emmy-winning PBS station operated from the UCM campus during the spring of 2021, and served as a college student blogger for BroadwayWorld from 2020 to 2021. He currently serves as a content creator for Cyclopedic Ensemble, a non-profit theatre company co-founded by former SFCC Theatre chair Eric Yazell, and has acted in two of their productions, including the 2022 Best of KC Fringe winner THE STINKY CHEESE MAN AND OTHER FAIR(L)Y (STOOPID) FAIRY TALES.
Outside of theatre, Holden is the bassist of Goodbrew, a rock band co-founded by SFCC friends Aren Goodwin and Ben Brewer. He's also a huge fan of physical media, and spends more time with his movie collection than he does with other people.
